OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! October 24, 2006
Y’all will not believe what happened to me today!!!!!!!!!!!!! First of all, we made it back safely so thank you to those of us who were praying us home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m afraid the trip home was very miserable for me since I think I picked up a bug from Kristin. I was sick and slept almost the whole way back. Thank you guys for the use of your shoulders!!! *smile*
Sooooooooooooooo, I get home last night and DO NOT feel well. I went to bed with the full intention of sleeping until noon. (Not really) However, one of my dear students woke me up asking me to buy them a new book because they finished the old one. As proud I was of them, I was still not feeling well and half asleep.
Next Jon and Tim poked their heads in with charming questions “when are you getting up??” and “whatcha wanna do today???” Uhhhh, let me think………sleep!!!!!!!!! Half an hour later my dear Mother called me (Yes we use the phone ever though we’re in the same house!!!!!) and asked if I was planning on getting up today……………Ok, I can take a hint!!!!!!! I druuuuuuuuuuuuuug myself out of bed…………….
We hung around the house and watched a couple of movies when Jon and Tim decided to go for a jog. Hmmmmm, I thought. Maybe I’ll rollerblade. Exercise is something I LOVE and maybe it will motivate me to feel better. Uh huh……………….BAD idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had been rollerblading outside the house on our street waiting for the guys and I wasn’t moving fast at all. I had been, but at this point the rollerblades were just carrying me and I wasn’t moving my feet. I’m not sure what happened next but I fell and came down hard on my right knee.
When I got inside and pulled up my torn pant leg what I saw was NOT pretty!!!!!!!!!!!!! Y’all, I kid you not there is a hole in my knee!!!!!!!!!! I don’t know what I hit, but there is very good sized hole in the middle of my knee and the rest of the torn flesh around it is pretty deep as well. It’s still bleeding pretty bad and I can’t walk on it because then it really starts bleeding. Sooooooooooooooo, I’m on crutches. AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is getting seriously old……………..Ahhhhhhhh……..such is life!!!!!!!!!!!
And to think, I thought I was through with scraped knees 10 years ago……….LOL
I would post a picture of it but I can’t for two reasons:
1. I don’t know how to post pictures!!!! Heh heh
2. It looks HORENDOUS and will probably make your stomach turn…..
Well, please pray for me because it’s rather painful…..and pray for our upcoming conference…..we need lots of prayer right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank y’all!!!!

AWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!! You feel better soon my dear. I love you MUCH, even on crutches. BE CAREFUL, and realize that your big sis is going to be EVEN MORE protective of you until you slow down enough to let your body catch up! Why??? Cause SHE LOVES YOU SO MUCH!!!!! Hope to see you soon!!! =o)
I WANNA SEE IT!!!!!! Did it hurt like you just punctured a hole into your skin? You didn’t expound on the pain part so I figured that maybe your body went into shock mode or something = ) Hope it heels up FAST!

Oh boy, now I’ve got Mama AND big sister on me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YIKES!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guys, I guess I won’t be doing anything or going anywhere for awhile…have a nice life ok???? *sniff* JK!!

Man, I think you need a vacation after your vacation. Next time I see you you’ll be in a wheel chair with your arms up in slings! Be careful and use the ice.
Hey I enjoyed it, I gotta tell you, it was a little let down after my dad’s hand that I nearly THREW UP over! It was pretty awesome looking though.

Aww, you poor thing. A hole in your knee? That’s awful.
Moral of the story? Uh….get out of bed earlier? LOL I’m kidding. Rest up girl, and I’ll be praying for ya.
Maybe they should just put you in a preventive full-body cast

Yeah Jordan, just thank of all the damage she could do in a cast! Knocking over stuff. Whacking people. Having to be fed and all that, sheesh.

How could you possibly do more damage in a cast than you already do? I mean, really…:-) Oh and btw, wherever you decide to become a hermit, you’d better check and see if it’s got good cell phone reception. I can’t see you surviving without your phone (take away the food and company first, but NOT the phone). Ok, I’ll stop being mean
