Ok, here are some of my favorite things that my little sis has said and done…
My Grandmother always makes cornbread in a skillet on the stove as opposed to the way we do it, in the oven. One time when Sarah was little, she was watching my Grandmother make cornbread. I came into the kitchen and she looked up at me and said: “Sissy, Grandma is like the Pilgrims!!!!! She cooks her cornbread on the stove!!!” LOL!!!! Apparently because she had never seen it and it looked old fashioned to her, it made Grandma seem like the Pilgrims!!!!!!!!
One day, a couple of hours after I had told Sarah to clean her room, (Which she HATES doing) she tromped down the stairs, flopped into one of our armchairs and said “Oh I wish I has MS like Dad!!!!!” What? We asked her….”Well,” she said. “When you have MS you don’t have to do any work and you get to ride around in a wheelchair all the time!!” LOL That one has us going for a good while. Kids and their perspective…
Sarah was sitting down talking to Dad about spiritual matters one afternoon. Dad asked her a question and she answered it correctly. “Very good.” said Dad. Sarah turned to me and said, “Stick around Erin, you might learn something!!” *shock* Excuse me????? What a mess she is!!!!!!!!
One day while we were at my Grandmother’s for the day Grandma said, “Does anyone want to go to the dollar store?” (Knowing Sarah would love to go to the dollar store.) Sarah said, “I would, but you can’t go without a dollar, and I don’t have one!!…..of course,” She continued looking over at Grandma. “I could always borrow one…” To the dollar store we went and Sarah did have a dollar!!!!!!!!
Well, those are some of my funnies that still make me laugh whenever I think about them!! Hope you enjoyed them too!!!!!! Siblings are fun to say the least!!!!!!!
Catch y’all later!!!!!!!!!! I’m off………

Hey Erin you should write a book! Those are like READERS DIGEST material!!! Once Joshua saw a dalmation and said “LOOK it’s a damnation!” We thought that was pretty good. Emma has said things quite similar but not quite as…seriously hilarious as Sarah. Those are some great stories. If you have anymore I’m all for hearing them!!
Those are classic! One time we were having Wisdom Search and Garrison was just learning how to read and sound out words. His verse was, “Hell and destruction are before the Lord….” So Garrison’s sounding this out,
” Heh… heh….hhell…hell, HELL???? What’s that doing in the Bible?!?!”
Sarah is a riot. I people like her who make me smile :).
LOL I’m glad y’all enjoyed it!!!!!!!!!
Hi,
I just wanted to say that I look forward to reading about the progress of the Hottman family every day, from your sincere perspective. It brightens my day, knowing that the Lord is so good and is working so sweetly and powerfully on their behalf! God bless you!
