Y’all, I LOVE this passage. . .
Psalm 73:23-28 “Nevertheless I am continually with Thee: Thou hast holden me by my right hand. Thou shalt guide me with Thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but Thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside Thee. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever…….But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord God, that I may declare all Thy works.”
Do you find as much strength and encouragement from it as I do?
Dr. Jerry Benjamin spoke at our church today. These are some things that stood out to me…
1 Thess. 4:17 “Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” Notice the ending…”so shall we ever be with the Lord…” Not so shall we ever be in Heaven…Where Christ is, is Heaven. It’s not about the place, but the person, Jesus Christ.
“Christ does not give us the standard by which we are to live, HE is the standard by which we are to live.”
“Victory is not when I conquer the sin, but when Christ conquers me, the sinner.”
Life really is simpler when we see ourselves for who we really are and recognize our complete and total need and dependence of HIM.

I do love that passage too…my mom has it on a plaque in her room, and there have been times when I’ve been in there and those verses were exactly what I needed to see.
Those are great quotes! I don’t even remember hearing those yesterday! Isn’t that incredible??? He says so much, that even when you’re listening as hard as possible you miss stuff!
