A touch of “Bah humbug”… November 27, 2006

Ok, for those of you who don’t read my brother Jon’s site, I had to post this on mine for your reading pleasure. I laughed so much when I read this….that’s my bro!!!!!! What a clown. Don’tcha love the way he puts things??? *smile*

Ok, here it is….the Christmas lights account in his own words…

Today, or rather tonight I put up our Christmas lights. As you can tell from the title I really don’t like doing that. Well tonight was special because it was raining. All the better huh? Well, first I had to find them. . .an all too common problem. Then I had to find the ones that were actually working, an even more too common problem. Then I took them and began to put them up, and that’s when the “fun” began. First I hung up the icicles, there was no rain at this point, because if there was then I wouldn’t have even started. After I had gotten about half of the icicles put up it began to rain. I continued hanging icicles with the rain coming down out of the sky, on the roof, and into my face. And don’t worry I wasn’t dumb enough to plug in the lights. So after I hung all the icicles I moved on to putting the nets in the bushes. That went well, all though that was about the only thing that did go well. Then I started wrapping our small tree in blue lights. That was tough because I had to wrap them around four or five small branches, and every time that I would go around I would shake the tree and water would pour down on me. After I got all the lights up that I wanted to put up today I tried to find power cords, I eventually did got everything plugged up and went to go check it out. Do remember earlier when I said I checked them? Well I did and they all worked before I put them up. But of course as soon as I put them up they became possessed and decide not to work. So I went around and shook all the ones that weren’t working until they did work. Then I went inside and got laughed at because I was drenched and dirty (I knew I shouldn’t have worn a white shirt.) So that just about sums up my day, and I was so proud of myself that I only got shocked twice. Well for all of y’all that have not put up your lights yet, all I can say is have “fun”.
