Ahhhh the Randomness… February 9, 2007

Hello world of website readers!!!!!!!!! I hope this not too important but hopefully not too boring post finds each of you well, happy and out of trouble!!!!!!! *smile*

Not too much has been going on around here this week. It’s been nice to get caught up on some work around the house and CMT work on the computer. Oh heavens, I don’t even want to admit this to y’all but alas, I will. Those of you who know me well know that I’m a stickler for a clean bedroom. If other people want to live in a messy room, that’s their perogative but as for me and my room, we will stay clean and orderly!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well…………………….for some reason the past few days everything that goes in my room hasn’t made it past the floor, or the desk or the bookshelf, depending on how far into my room it made it!!! On top of that, I did my laundry when I got back from Dallas and felt no real motivation to hang it up, fold it or put it away. Hmmm….what is with me????? Then, I’ve had clothes issues lately….like no matter what, I CANNOT decide what to wear everyday. I have ended up changing every day at least three times!!!!!!!!!!!! HELLO!!!!!!!!!!! *shaking head*

So……..after several days my room became very……….ummmmmm……….lived in shall we say???? Yeah, it was pretty pathetic. Now the part I don’t want to admit is this: having a messy room was slightly freeing and it felt sort of……………well………………good. Whoa, I did not just say that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That feeling didn’t last long so yesterday I bit the bullet and cleaned my room!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a feeling, grand and glorious, fabulous and fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Better than any feeling a dirty room could ever give you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sigh…..yeah, it was great!!!! *smile*

So I worked in the Champion Forest Children’s Department this morning and I usually have the preschoolers, but today they put me with the 10-18 month olds. Everything was fine until this one little guy came in. He didn’t want his Mommy to leave and for some unknown reason, and he wouldn’t go to the other gal in the room. He just wanted me to hold him. His Mom had really dark hair and skin like me, and the other worker had blond hair so maybe that was part of it…who knows!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, no big deal I could handle that…..attached little ones are rather fun and he was a sweet little guy!!!! However, there was one problem……….I was allergic to him!!!!!!!! LOL No, I’m serious, I was allergic to this baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He smelled like potpourri!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL I started sneezing and my nose was running and he was so fussy when I tried to put him down he’d raise up his arms toward me put his head down and whale, “hold you, hold you”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *Shaking head*……………….so I suffered with the potpourri child. *smile*

Well ordinarily, besides the allergic part of course, it would have been fine……..and that’s when problem number two came in….literally….in she came, crying all the time……and this one wanted me to hold her too!!!!!!!! So there I was sitting in a rocker with two clingy, fussy babies, sneezing and blowing my nose!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Finally after 30 minutes or so I got them busy playing and could do other things.

When the little guy’s Mom came to get him I realized it must be her perfume that I was reacting to because it was so strong I could smell her before she rounded the corner!!!!!!!!! Oh bother!!!! Can you believe it?? I had an allergic reaction to a baby???!!!!!!! Tiffany, the girl working with me just laughed at me!!!! LOL So yeah, that was hysterical. Never a dull moment!!!! *smile*

It was a good day AND I got to take a nap!!!!!!! WOO HOO!!!! Gotta love that!!!!!!! *smile*
