The Greatest Little Vacation Spot. . . July 27, 2007
I call it HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s true, I went on vacation this past week!!!!!!!! I stayed home almost 24-7 and it was gloriously wonderful!!!!!!!!!!! Hopefully I didn’t get too used to it because now work calls!!!! So how did I manage this anyway?? Well, simple….I didn’t respond to emails, didn’t answer my phone (for the most part) cancelled piano, violin and voice lessons and didn’t go anywhere that required me to do anything.
Several months ago I was chatting with Kevin and we thought it’d be so great to get everyone together before the conference to relax and enjoy some vacation time before things got completely insane. Well, after discussing all kinds of possibilities it was decided it would be much simpler for Kev to just come here and see all of us rather than us go there or try to find a half way where we could all meet. *smile* So, plans were made, changed, cancelled, back on and then…he was on the doorstep. Yeah, we let him in. *smile*
So we played games, watched movies, talked, played more games, watched more movies, talked some more and just hung out. Kristin came over Sunday after church and we had a great time talking and being together with no work to do for once!!!! I did have to work a little amidst the party so we went to the Bogner’s all day Monday and were able to get some conference things worked on. Kevin kept us happy with guitar music while we worked. Our own personal soundtrack!!!! How cool is that??!?!?? Theme music!!!!!! YAY for us!!!!!!!! On Tuesday night we went to the Astros game and showed Kev what baseball is really all about….everything’s better in Texas. Would you believe not every ball park sings “Deep in the Heart of Texas” in the 7th inning??????!?!?!?!? It’s true. How sad. I don’t know how you can have a 7th inning without “Deep in the Heart of Texas”. It was great, AND we got to witness Biggio’s GRAND SLAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hoooooooooooooly toledo!!!!!!! *smile*
Kev and I beat Mama and Jon at Bible Pictionary. What can I say, we’re just more Spiritual. (kidding!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol) Sigh. Sweet victory. It was great. Mwah ha ha ha. Beyond Balderdash was fun too. One word: Hemidemisemiquaver. Yeah. Tell me about it. *smile*
Anyway, it was a great week and we had a wonderful time!!!!! So now, pictures. Enjoy!!!! Nice pics Kev!!!!!! *smile*

It was just an awesome vacation. I really needed it. Thanks to everybody so much for letting me come down and be there and hang out. Great to see everybody.
Jon. I want your bed, man. I’m having “Jon’s bed” withdrawls.
Or maybe it’s just sleeping withdrawls in general?
Yep, it was needed and FABULOUS!!!!!! And yeah, I loooooooooove Jon’s bed!!!!!!!!!!
It’s enough to make a guy jealous seeing all of those photos! I miss my family…wish I could see you all more often. *sigh, the life of a workin’ man*
