Here and there. . . August 10, 2007

…….and everywhere in between!!!!!! *smile* We’ve been going crazy here and getting lots done and AMAAAAAAZINGLY enough, staying right on schedule although we’ve had to move things, switch things, flip flop, and just roll with it!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! We are THREE DAYS and counting people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *smile*

Last night I had a minor catastrophe. I walked over to the piano bench where my phone was sitting and noticed that it looked rather odd. After picking it up I realized it was slightly, well, ok it was pretty much completely broken you might say. Not sure how on earth that happened….I had just used it not long before and it was fine. Ohhhhhhh well. Sigh. All I can say is it’s a good thing I was planning on getting a new phone. It was time. I guess it takes things like that to make me do what I need to do. But hey, I haven’t had time to go get a new phone, heavens. Sooooooo this morning Mel, Ames and I went to Sprint to look at phones. Mel and Ames were getting new phones too. That was fun. So all three of us now have shiny new phones. Of course it took us awhile to figure out which phone to get……so many color choices!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *smile* *wink* Juuuuuuuust kidding!!!!!!!!

Tim came over tonight. Not sure why…I didn’t even know he was coming…..but I’m glad!!! *smile* We’ve been hanging out and were trying to think of something fun to do tonight. So Jon wanted to go to Walmart and then the next thing I knew he and Mama were looking up a list of “Stupid Things to do at Walmart” online. LOL. Ohhhhhhhh boy…….some good stuff on there….most of it even I wasn’t brave enough to do. We went with full intentions of doing at least a few of them but alas there weren’t very many people there and we ended up wandering the whole store just looking at everything and making fun of most of it. We took some pictures though!!!!! *smile* We were gone, to Walmart, for TWO hours tonight!! We’re so nuts. And is it bad to go to Sonic at 12:30am?? Nah, I didn’t think so either. *smile*

Mama: Tim, come here. I’ll show you some family heirlooms…..

Jon & Me: *groan*

Mama: Tim, this was my glove from my very first piano recital.

Tim: Wow.

Mama: Tim, Cheryl Burwell sent this to me from Washington because she loves me.

Tim: Wow.

Mama: This came from Kathy Lyon when she went to England….and these were glasses from my Great, Great Grandmother….(or something like that.)……..she had really bad eyesight.

Tim: Ahhh…

Mama: Oh and Tim, these were Erin’s baby shoes, aren’t they cute????

Tim: Adorable.

Mama: This is a little white Bible my sister bought for Sarah Beth when she was born….it’s the kind she’ll carry down the isle when she gets married.

Tim: Nice.

Mama: And this, this is the little Bible I carried down the aisle when I get married and someday my daughter will- (I SOOO thought I knew what was coming here. One problem. I had momentarily forgotten that this was my MOM we’re talking about!!!!!!! lol *smile* anyway………) and someday my daughter will throw up when I ask her if she wants to carry this down the aisle.

I have no idea where that came from!!!!!! I don’t exactly want to wear her wedding dress. But I NEVER said anything about her Bible!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol. You would have to hear my Mom going through ALL these family “heirlooms” and just saying that like it was all part of the tour or something. lol. It was so funny!!!!!!! *smile*

*Side Note 1* I picked up that phone to look at it and saw a great selling point right away. The outside of the phone looked like a mirror. I promptly started putting lip gloss on and told Mel, “Yeah, I think I’m liking this phone….it’s the one for me!!” *smile*

*Side Note 2* Our CMT goings and comings including piles of paper for teacher manual assembly, battle wounds for poor Amy, detours we didn’t really have time for, beautiful blue skies and Sonic!!! *smile*

*Side Note 3* Walmart has some fun hats!!!!!!! Gotta loooooooove the cowboy hats!!! Yee-Haw!!!!!!! Makes me feel so very Texan!!!!!!!! *smile* Jon was pretty cool himself. *smile*

*Side Note 4* We found fun shirts and bought them. Mine is SO appropriate. Love it. The guy’s are pretty funny too!!!!!! Heh heh heh. It took us a couple of tries to get everyone smiling at the same time….but we finally got one. *smile*

It’s been a fun night. There’s a movie going I’m sure as soon as I stop typing I’ll fall asleep. *smile* Have a great weekend dear ones!!!!!!!!!! Not sure how much time I’ll have for posting during the next who knows how long but I’ll try to squeeze in a post here and there. *smile* Things won’t get really crazy til Sunday. *smile*
