A beautiful day… October 21, 2007

…yes, it really was. The sky was so very blue, the weather just right and as I was out and about I had to stop and thank the Lord for the beauty He places all around me. Sigh. I read this verse yesterday and I loved it…I thought about it again today just looking around at the Majesty of the Lord you can see in His creation. 1 Chronicles 29- “Thine, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.”

It was a beautiful day in other ways too. I was at church all day, something I haven’t done in a very long time. Actually, this is terrible, but because I’ve been sick and exhausted, I have been to church twice since the conference. (August 18th) Wow. It was good to be back!!!!!!!!!!!!! Today was baby dedication day at our church. I couldn’t help but smile as family after family got up to read a special letter to their child and publicly dedicate these precious babies to the Lord. *smile*

My Annie Girl was dedicated too!!!! She was SO HAPPY today. Laughing and smiling and melting my heart with each squeal and giggle. I love her “I’m sleepy” cry too. Her soft, sad little moan that goes and goes until she finally gives in and drifts off to dreamland…As I swayed and bounced while she went through this little pre-sleep moaning tradition, I looked at Kristin and said, “Won’t this be fun someday at 3am when we’re about to fall over dead from lack of sleep??….I have a feeling when they’re ours though they’ll cry in their beds until they fall asleep and that will be that.” She agreed and we had a good laugh over baby adventures to come. *smile*

During the evening service we had the chance to sing several extra Hymns while we waited for the Pastor to take care of some things. It was a riot!!!!!!!! You didn’t know singing Hymns could be so funny did you??? Well, Melanie and I had some serious fun, let me tell you. Wait, can you have “serious” fun?? Hmmm, I think you can….oh well, anyway………ohhhh y’all, it is BAD NEWS for the two of us to sit by each other. (Hey Mel, I think we should put those endings on paper so other people will know how to end a Hymn the right way, don’tcha think???? lol Had such a blast with you today Lovely!!!!!!!! *smile*)

Megan and I sang the special today. Well, Megan sang and I tried to keep up with not enough breath. Humph. One day I’ll get there and I’ll be able to really SING again. Bother. Sigh. Ahh well, it was great Meg and thanks for singing with me!!!!!!!!!!!!! After two years of blend, blend, blend it was fun to FINALLY sing a special with you!!!!!
