Tis the Season… December 5, 2007

Filed under: General News — Lady Lizzy @ 12:14 am

This weekend Kristin, Tim and I sang in four Christmas performances with this church choir we joined this semester. It was a blast!!!!!!! Very exhausting but fun!!!!!!!!

We were part of a concert with a special guest singer and got to sing backup to him. I’m not posting his name to see how many of you that haven’t already heard, actually know who he is. He’s a pretty well known singer but few people I’ve talked to know who he is. *smile*

Annnyway….with the exception of a few not so hot songs, the music was awesome!!!! He is an amazing singer!!! Annnnd….he knows it which is the bad part. Ohhhh well….. *smile*

So it was an all around great weekend!!!!!! The laughs and the company being the BEST part of course!!!!! I love y’all, thanks for the memories and here’s to more!!!!!!!!!!! *smile*

Pictures….

There are some pics here of us gals getting ready…no worries, we didn’t succumb and let the Southern Baptist ladies put bright red lipstick or silver glitter all over us though!!!!!! *wink*

Oh my….the jackets were better (HAHA) than you described!!!

Hannah B Says:

Amazing…I have no idea who that is. I don’t think I listen to as much “bad” music as your mother thinks I do! lol…
Ya look beautiful (truly!) but did you get to keep the jackets? ;)

Whirly Says:

Wowzers!!! SPARKLES!!!!! That’s amazing! I must agree with Megan that they are NOT as bad as you described! Even though they (I’m sure) must not have been comfortable.

I wonder if the “special singer” spent as much time or more on his hair than you did!!
Typical “famous” singer. *rolling eyes*

Elizabeth Says:

hmmmmmm. he looks familiar… Like someone I may have seen in a CBD catalog.

Echo the hair comments… *rolls eyes* At least he wasn’t wearing a pink tie, like the Congressional Candidate I met last week. blah.

Twirly Says:

i like pink ties. But maybe not on congressional candidates. :-P

Kev Says:

Pink ties on guys are sick. Period.

Yeah, good ole David up there has a Shirley Temple haircut. Wonderful.

You know….the jackets look better when I’m wearing sunglasses. :-D

Tim Says:

Yeah, his hair was great! LOL! It looked like a matted mess, at least from the back. He definitely has the pop artist ego, that’s for sure.
I think that quite a few of the ladies were happy that this was the last time they were going to have to wear those jackets! The older ladies like them, though! :-)

Elyse Says:

Wow! You got to sing with David Phelps?!? That’s really neat!!!!! He has a great voice, although some of his music is a little uppity. :P And the jackets are…shiny. *smile*

Candace Says:

I totally agree with Kevin, pink ties are sick on guys! Sounds like ya’ll had an awesome weekend!

Kev Says:

Thanks Candace!

Candace Says:

No problem! Actually, I’m kind of strange cause I HATE pink. I prefer browns, blues, & greens.

Mama Says:

Well, his music is a little more that uppity. I would describe it as, WOW. ummmmm WOW…..yeah…..WOW. I never knew Christmas music could be so loud, and have such guitar and drum, and SPARKLE and fog and stuff….

BTW everyone, the jackets weighed about 10 lbs. each. And they were almost as loud as the music. I wonder if they could do the same program without David Phelps and do other music, in different dresses, with less lights, fog and loudness. It would be great.

But the choir was nice and the orchestra too! But David Phelps, um….WOW

Kev Says:

Yeah, wow…

J Says:

You guys look incredible! Ooo, Tim…if I were only a girl! I love that frilly shirt and slacks. ;)

I miss the ol’ gang terribly! Time is passing me by…sigh, such is life I guess!

Tim Says:

We miss you too!! You should come to Houston more often, or at least stay a couple of days so we can hang out. We were definitely stylin’ last weekend! It was awesome! Those were my recreation clothes!!! :-)

Rachel Says:

Looks like ya’ll had a blast. Just for the record I like pink-even on ties. ;-)
And who is kay?

Twirly Says:

Yay for Rachels-who-like-pink-even-on-ties! The record is pleased to know. ;)

Lady Lizzy Says:

Pink in general is just sick.

Twirly Says:

Isn’t it great that you don’t have to like it? ;) Hum…I’m not sure there is a color that I really don’t like. Maybe some shades of dark purple? :)

Candace Says:

Yea, Erin! I was beginning to think I was the only girl who doesn’t like pink.

Elyse Says:

Just for the record, I think that pink is the greatest, loveliest, most beautiful, color there is!! Of course, everyone is entitled to an opinion…you either agree with me or you’re wrong. JK!!! :)

kay Says:

*gulp* Is it okay for me to post, Erin?

Lady Lizzy Says:

Uhhh, yeah, I appreciate that. You know, the whole individuality thing really works for me. *rolling eyes* And in my individual state, I say pink is SICK. Thank you. :-)
*
YAY CANDACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-D Here’s for girls against pink!!!!!!! :-)
*
Heavens Kay dear, of course it is. When someone posts with a name people don’t know, they get veeeery nosy and suspicious. You post away!!!!!! :-) Do you care if people know who you are?? I wasn’t going to say who you were on my site in case you liked going by a different name….I was gonna tell Rachel on Sunday. But if you don’t care then we’ll reveal your identity here. :-D

kay Says:

*LOL* Oh, R. wasn’t being nosy at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can tell Rachel…I don’t care…most people already know, anyhow.*heh, heh* :-D

I would of told, but I’m young at heart*lol*, and I like secrets….*heh, heh*
Thanks!
BK
