What’s new with me… February 26, 2008
Warning: this post does not promise to a well written, flooded with detail or fun to read update. Ok, so, here we go.
I have been busy. To say the least. Between working at Champion Forest, being Mommy to two active little guys three days a week, teaching piano, violin and voice, working on CMT stuff here and there if I can stay awake long enough while at Mel’s house, rehearsing and performing with the Voice of Grace Quartet, and babysitting in all my free time, I AM EXHAUSTED!!!!!!!!
Since our new church building has been finished and we now have a handicapped bathroom, Dad and Mama have been able to go back after two years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s INCREDIBLE!!!!!! I don’t even know how to act with them there. It’s been SO good!!!!!!! HOORAY!!!! So, our church had it’s first official Sunday in our new building this past week. I attended the event with a fever, sore throat, killer headache and ear aches and the coughing, sneezing, blowing your nose exercises that go along with it. *smile* Somehow in the midst of all that I managed to sing with the quartet. Some sweet people said we sounded good. I need to pay them before I forget. After we sang I promptly went to the old building and crawled onto an old pew to sleep. I hear the sermon was great. I’ll have to get the dvd. I accompanied two groups in the afternoon service which went better than I thought. It’s actually not THAT bad playing the piano. *smile* I stayed awake and alert for the whole sermon in the afternoon. The building is beautiful and it was a good day minus feeling like death warmed over.
Monday I canceled everything and slept ALL DAY. This morning I woke up at 5am for no good reason and felt SICK. I usually get up at 5:30 every morning but it takes an alarm and some serious talking myself into it before I’m actually awake. Anyway, so 5am, feeling AWFUL. Crying actual tears kind of bad. I contemplated throwing up for an hour before I decided I might as well get dressed and go to work since I had no real good reason to call and cancel. So off I went.
It was a long day but after I picked the boys up from Mother’s Day Out we went to the park to deliver birthday girl Mel her presents and play for a while. Ok, ok, so we went to get them all tired out so they’d go down for naps without a fight. Anyway, to the park we went. Perky is in town for a few days so we got to see her too!!!!! YAY!!!!!!! That, was nice. I relaxed on the quilt and let them run (crawl in John Mark’s case) all over the lovely grass in the bright sunshine. I only chased them a few times. *smile* They ran themselves silly and collapsed into their beds as soon as we got home!!! VICTORY!!! *smile*
We had rehearsal tonight and now I’m back home and FINALLY sitting on my bed wondering what kind of drugs will take care of my headache that is currently the size of Texas. I doubt we even have pills that big. Ahh well.
I suppose I should wrap it up and try to sleep since 5:30 does come early. Sigh. Have a lovely night my friends, and a lovely day tomorrow!!! Sending hugs your way!!!
